Transparent Government
Good decisions start with good communication. Too often, residents feel left out of township discussions because the information is not easy to find or understand. If people do not know what is happening, they cannot share their ideas, raise concerns, or help shape solutions.
Transparency is about more than posting meeting minutes or budget documents. It is about making sure information is clear, easy to access, and shared in ways that reach people where they are. When residents are informed, they can engage. And when they engage, our township makes better decisions that reflect the needs of the whole community.
As trustee, I will:
Live-stream township meetings so everyone has the chance to watch, even if they cannot attend in person.
Share regular updates in plain language that explain what is happening and why, so all residents can follow along.
Use multiple communication channels, including online platforms, social media, community boards, and newsletters, to reach more people in more ways.
Establish neighborhood precinct captains so every part of Batavia Township has a voice and a direct connection to leadership.
Transparency is the first step. Accessibility and outreach are what make it meaningful. I will make sure township decisions are easy to understand and easy to find, because the more voices we bring to the table, the stronger our community becomes.
Services You Need
The heart of a strong community is the essential services that people rely on every day. Families in Batavia Township deserve to feel safe on the roads, confident that schools are supported, and reassured that help is there in moments of crisis. These services are not extras. They are the foundation that keeps our community strong, connected, and secure.
As trustee, I will make sure your tax dollars are invested where they matter most. That means focusing on services that directly protect and support residents, while guarding against wasteful spending. Every dollar should work to make daily life better for the people who live here.
Here are my priorities:
Safe and reliable roads so that families can travel without worry, and our infrastructure keeps up with growth.
Partnership with schools to create safe, supportive environments where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
Strong emergency services by ensuring EMS and law enforcement have the tools, training, and staffing to respond quickly in times of need.
Responsible budgeting that avoids unnecessary expenses and makes sure resources go directly to the services families count on.
Investing in these services is about more than fixing problems in the moment. It is about planning ahead so that Batavia Township can grow in a way that is sustainable, safe, and supportive for everyone.
When residents know their roads are safe, their children are cared for, and help will be there when they call, they can focus on building strong families and strong neighborhoods. My commitment is to put your tax dollars where they make the biggest difference: in the services that touch lives every day.
Development You Want
Batavia Township is growing, and growth can bring opportunity when it is guided by the community. Development should make life better for residents, not harder. It should improve our quality of life, protect what makes Batavia special, and respect the people who already live here.
Too often, development decisions feel like they are made for developers instead of for residents. That is why transparency and accessibility are so important. When township information is easy to find and understand, more people can share their input. With increased transparency, we can increase community participation and make sure growth reflects what residents actually want.
As trustee, I will work to ensure that development is smart, responsible, and community-driven:
Protect green space and rural character so Batavia retains the charm and natural beauty that make it unique.
Match growth with infrastructure by making sure new development does not outpace our roads, schools, and emergency services.
Keep traffic flowing and neighborhoods safe by requiring development plans to consider the daily impact on families and commuters.
Hold developers accountable so that the costs of growth are not unfairly shifted onto taxpayers.
Growth is not something to fear, but it must be handled with care. With open communication and community input, we can shape development that adds value to Batavia Township instead of taking it away. My vision is for growth that supports families, strengthens neighborhoods, and preserves the character of the place we all call home.
